Once a year, the members of Wine Market Council gather to hear about the Council’s work assessing U.S. consumer attitudes regarding wine and so much more. This year’s meeting kicks-off with a V.I.P. keynoter, Christian Navarro, president and co-owner of Wally's Wine & Spirits and Wally's Beverly Hills. Christian will talk about consumer trends from the retailer perspective while giving us a glimpse into where Wally’s is headed in the future.

Following the keynote address, our Research Committee will host a panel discussion, Wine Market Council's Consumer Research: How it's Used and a Look at New Research in 2019. Members of Wine Market Council's research committee discuss how this year's consumer research benefits their tier of the trade and invite attendees to join in to discuss what research topics Wine Market Council will focus on in 2019. Led by moderator Jennifer Pagano, Wine Market Council's Director of Research, with panelists Debby Wang of Breakthru Beverage, Angela Slade of Pacific Highway Wines & Spirits, Kevin Webster of Constellation Brands, and Karen Daenen of Jackson Family Wines.

The finale of our meeting is a robust panel of researchers and research minded leaders from all segments of the wine industry. What’s Next for U.S. Wine Consumers? “lightning round” session will be led by moderators Emma Swain, CEO of St. Supéry Estate Vineyards & Winery and Danny Brager, Senior Vice President of Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol Practice Area. Panelists include Geoff Kruth, MS, of GuildSomm, Christian Miller of Full Glass Research, John Gillespie of Wine Opinions, and Thomas McDevitt of Southern Glazer’s of America.

Members are encouraged to attend and bring their sales and marketing teams as well as any customers who might enjoy the program. Anyone interested in attending who is not currently a member of the Wine Market Council should contact Steve Burns directly at SBurns@WineMarketCouncil.com to RSVP. There is no cost to attend.
